A number of plants had died following the £1m revamp of the town centre area
Daily road closures will be in place in Grimsby and Humberston, the council has said.
Grimsby-based pub The Barge has announced the return of its popular event, Bargefest, marking its first appearance in six years.
The event, which will take place on Saturday 30 August, and will feature live music from local bands, food and drink stalls, and a showcase of local traders.
It will also mark the first music-based festival held in the new-look Riverhead Square, with organisers aiming to deliver a day to remember for the community.
A spokesperson for The Barge said: “We are very excited to be back after 6 years with our Bargefest for 2025 and we have an amazing free lineup for the Community with:
• Local Bands
• Local Traders
• Local People
“Giving Riverhead Square its first big gig and it will be a day to remember.”
A full line-up has yet to be announced.

“Seeing us beat Manchester United at Blundell Park didn’t feel real,” he said. “It’s dreamland for us, we couldn’t have imagined anything better.”
